II. TEMPUS project (JEP_24200_2003) "Information Technologies Curricula"


    In 2003 the European Commission approved the TEMPUS project (JEP_24200_2003). Urals State University of Railway Transport was one of the partner organizations in it. The contact person is Professor Yuri Yalishev, vice-rector of Information Technologies, head of the department "Systems and Technologies of Information Security". The project is called "Information Technologies Curricula" for the specialty "Data Safety and Information Security" in order to prepare certified engineers in Russian transport universities - education systems harmonization in EU and RF. Project duration is three years (2004-2007).

    The projects goals are:

  • to develop curricula for the specialty "Data Safety and Information Security" in order to prepare certified engineers in Russian universities;
  • to harmonize education systems in EU and RF;
  • to create a departmental consultation centre of data safety in Moscow State University of Railway Transport;
  • to adjust curricula to the criteria of the program "Electronic Russia".

    The grant holder is Technical University of Dresden (Germany), project partners are Moscow State University of Railway Transport, Petersburg State Transport University, Institute of Information Technologies in Vienna University of Technologies (Austria), Masaryk University in Brno (Check Republic) etc.
